#1 Copywriter Spills Her Best Secrets To Selling More Of ANYTHING

Young couple whispering a secret behind hanon trendy pink and blue studio background.

Fed up with spending countless hours writing an email or words for your website only to be greeted by… *crickets*?  🦗🦗🦗

It’s not your fault. Good copywriting is HARD. Good copywriters spend years honing their skills.

It’s not like throwing some random words on page and BOOM! 💥 you’ve got a steady stream of “come ‘n’ get it” ideal buyers ready to throw their credit cards at you.

Copywriting is a skill, and I want to help you generate results every single time…

How do I know? Because I’ve done it.

💌  One email strategy I created for SaaS platform ManyChat made USD $10,000 in 48 hours with $0 ad spend

⬆️  44% increase in signups with my copywriting tactics for world-renowned dating expert Matthew Hussey

✍️  My email sequences for SaaS startup Foxley generated 250+ signups for an online masterclass

So I’m going to divulge my three top secrets to help you sell more of absolutely anything.

Trust me, some of these are so simple, you’re going to wonder why you didn’t use them before!

Secret No. 1:  Use my Two-Step Hooker Formula

So, before you think I’ve gone all Pretty Woman on you, hear me out…😉

The Two-Step Hooker Formula includes two important elements:

1. A hook to lure the audience in

2. A “power” or “trigger” word that elicits an emotional response

Put simply, a hook + power word = hooker… The Two-Step Hooker Formula. 😉

First up, a ‘hook’ answers the question, ‘what gets people excited about what I am saying?’

Copywriters use persuasive techniques. One of them is called “YAY without the BOO” (put simply, the good without the bad – it was coined by Bushra A).

For example, I wrote a sentence for my LinkedIn Magic Scripts as a YAY: “Want to know the foolproof LinkedIn formula for attracting high-ticket B2B prospects” without the BOO: “without feeling like a salesy slimeball”.

This can be applied for your lead magnets, emails, landing pages, and even your Messenger chatbots.

Next up is using “power” or “trigger” words that stir up emotions in your target audience. This encourages your audience to read on. And pro copywriters love to use these!

Some of the power words you could use include:

  • Myths
  • Banned
  • Foolproof
  • Kickstart
  • Hypnotic
  • Exclusive
  • VIP

You could see a 12.7% increase in your conversion rates simply by sprinkling a few power words into your copy.

Secret No.2: Make your calls-to-action (CTAs) do the heavy lifting

In emails, and on sales pages and websites, you need to add a CTA (call to action) at the end to get your users to perform the desired action.

For copywriters, the CTA is one of the most important conversion tactics. For once, you can tell people what to do, and they actually like it!

CTAs include things like:

  • Buy Now
  • Buy Now & Save $X
  • Read This:
  • Watch This:
  • Learn More About…

One of my favourite things to do to make your CTAs really stand out and convert more readers faster is a technique I honed during the time I was a copywriter for dating expert Matthew Hussey.

We wrote his CTAs as direct response (which stirs up emotions), and here’s a few I wrote for him:

Yes, Matt! Give Me Instant Access to <Program Name> & Transform My Love Life

Let’s Do This Together, Matt: Give Me My <Program Name> Now

Add Our LIVE Session to Your Calendar Now

All of these should hyperlink to your video, free gift, blog post or sales page. If you have Google Analytics (UTM link) or a link management tool like bit.ly you can include a trackable link so you can see the source (your email/Messenger bot/Facebook Ad) and how many people clicked on it.

Secret No. 3: Reward & Praise Your Audience For Performing an Action

As a copywriter, this is one of my much-loved techniques and works for landing pages or chatbot conversations where someone needs to perform the desired action to get access to something.

This could be clicking a button, giving their email address, or signing up for a free webinar.

Instead of writing “Thank you for giving your email address” or whatever it is, you use language that reassures them that they have made the right decision.

I’ll refer to copy I created for Matthew Hussey.

Here’s an example of one I wrote:

Nice Work! You’re About to Flip the Script So Your Guy Will be Waiting by HIS Phone for YOUR Text!

Can you see how little tweaks like replacing a boring “Thank you” with a praise/reward technique makes you, as the reader, feel empowered, smart, and reassured that you are making a wise decision and that you are on the right path?

Try these three techniques next time you sit down to write your email, sales page, or social media post, and watch the difference in your conversion rates!
